Find out more about the Varuna call for projects !
On May 5, the Varuna program launched a call for projects: “Business&Biodiversity Fund – Indian Ocean”. On May 15, the first information meeting on this call for projects was held and the second will be held on May 25. These meetings are opportunities for potential project leaders to learn about the criteria and functioning of the call for projects.
Within the framework of the call for projects “Business&Biodiversity Fund – Indian Ocean” launched by the Varuna program, two information meetings have been scheduled for potentially interested project leaders and their partners.
These meetings aim to present the general context of the call for projects and its expectations as well as to allow applicants to ask their questions through a time of exchange.
The first information meeting for the call for projects was held on May 15 by Zoom. Th Varuna team presented the Varuna program as a whole and the specific objectives of the “Business&Biodiversity Fund – Indian Ocean” in particular. It was also an opportunity to present the eligibility criteria from the rules of the call for projects, the functioning of the PLACE platform used for the submission of applications, and finally to answer the most frequently asked questions.
The recording of this 1st information meeting is available on the Vimeo channel of the “Varuna Biodiversity” program, and also available in the “Videos” section of “Resources” on the program website. The presentation made during this meeting can be downloaded from the “Call for projects” section of the website.
The Varuna team likes to remind that all the information relating to the call for projects and in particular the answers to the questions are also available directly on the PLACE platform.
For all applicants who were not able to attend the first information session, or who still have questions, the Varuna team is organizing a 2nd information meeting on the call for projects, which will be held on Thursday, May 25 at 2:00 pm (Madagascar time). English interpretation will be provided, as for the first meeting.
