Project 3 – Strengthening public-private dialogue

The “Public – Private Dialogue” project is implemented by CAP Business of the Indian Ocean (CAPBOI). CAPBOI is a platform based in Mauritius comprising the chambers of commerce and industry and professional organisations in the South-West Indian Ocean region.
The project
Strengthening dialogue between public and private stakeholders on the issues of biodiversity, natural capital and nature-based solutions: this action is entrusted to CAPBOI as it is the union of chambers of commerce and industry in the region.
CAPBOI runs a regional platform for public/private/civil society dialogues in order to strengthen the links between stakeholders, and in particular private stakeholders.

Activities:
- Design of communication, advocacy and dialogue tools for the economic operators of our islands
- Participation of the academic world and economic operators of the region in the Indian Ocean Islands Economic Forum to raise awareness in the private sector
- Organisation of exchanges and sharing of experiences between companies to facilitate the appropriation of tools for measuring the impact of economic activities/businesses on biodiversity/ecosystems
