Varuna is a partner of the FAPBM’s “Protected Areas Reporting Grant” in Madagascar
The Madagascar Protected Areas and Biodiversity Fund (FAPBM), in partnership with the Varuna Biodiversity Program and the Association of Journalists for Environnement (AJE), is launching a grant to produce original reports on local communities and experts involved in biodiversity conservation, and to highlight remote protected areas.
Who can apply?
Press, radio and television journalists with a passion for nature and biodiversity in Madagascar.
How to apply?
Applications must be sent by e-mail to mail@fapbm.org no later than September 17, 2023 at 11:59 pm, Madagascar time.

Who will be selected?
Six (6) journalists will be selected by the jury.
Amount of the grant
The grant amounts to three million Ariary (3,000,000 MGA) which will be used to carry out a report.
Varuna’s commitment
Varuna biodiversity, which works to preserve biodiversity in the south-west Indian Ocean for the benefit of the region’s inhabitants, will be joining the jury for this call for reports.
